David truly knows what he's doing when it comes to small engines. He was actually early to our appointment (called first to see if it was convenient for me), backed up his mobile work truck and got to work. Identified the problem right away and I did need an extra part so the price was a little more. He told me right away what the new cost was and I authorized it. My snowblower wouldn’t start up when I tried after the first snow of the year. After many attempts and a lot of swearing, I googled snow blower repair near me. This was one of the first ones that popped up on Google, and I’m so thankful it did!
Not only did he have my snowblower running soon after he came over, he was also kind enough to give me advice on prepping the snowblower for storage at the end of the season and starting up at the beginning of the season! He replaced a part I needed for better performance, changed the oil, filled the tires, and adjusted a couple other things.

My Toro snow blower wouldn’t start. Of course, it’s snowing like crazy. Called Michigan Mobile Lawn Equipment and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Dave and his assistant are absolutely true snow blower whispers! I have tried for weeks to get my Troybilt snow blower started. It’s too big and heavy for me to transport to a shop so my coworker suggested this company and I’m so glad he did! Within five minutes they had my snow blower started, they then took the time to stabilize and have it running properly. Dave also fixed one of the blades that had a broken pin that his assistant noticed, that I didn’t even know was broken. Dave’s assistant showed me how to replace blade pin if it breaks again, showed me how to set the blade and how to properly stow blower for fall and summer seasons. They are very professional and took the time to show me how to properly start, maintain, and stow. Thank you so much guys!

I called Michigan Mobile Repair to see if he could come and take a look at my Craftsman lawn tractor to see if there was any hope with getting it up and running. Due to health issues I wasn't able to use it for 4-5 yrs. It had just been sitting in my garage. I knew it would need a new battery so I got one before Dave and Alex arrived. They switched out the battery, filled the tires with air, replaced the carburetor and started it up. No replacing parts that didn't need to be replaced. Dave happened to notice my Generac generator behind the garage and told me he also tunes them up as well. That generator sure got a lot of use over the past 6 months with all the power outages we've had. Rather than wait and contact the company who installed it to do the annual tune up I called Dave back and he came out and handled everything. Makes it so easy that Dave just comes to my house and takes care of fixing what needs fixing. :-)

I called at 4:00pm on a Friday to have my lawn mower checked out because it would stop running after a few seconds. David said he was in the area and came over within 20 minutes. This is the second time i've used Dave's mobile repair service. My appointment was for 9:30 and Dave and his young assistant arrived at 9:20 and went to work on my Toro snowblower. New plug,paddles,scraper blade and oil change all done within an hour. Dave provides an invaluable service by coming to you. No way in the world could i fit that machine in the trunk of my car, a 2005 Pontiac GTO to transport for service. He explains what's going on and gives out tips as he works. Again, a great invaluable service he provides! I'll be contacting him in the spring for my Troy Bilt lawn mower. If this man retires it'll be a loss. Excellent Service at a Fair Price. Dave and Alex came to my house, got my tractor working and moving in a short amount of time. They did an excellent job and the price was very fair especially for the amount of work that was done.
As Dave was finishing he mentioned that he was a certified Generac generator technician. We started talking and I realized that I had not had any service work done on my generator since it was installed over 6 years ago. I asked him to take a look at it and we discovered that the "yellow" light was on, which meant it needed service. Dave not only serviced the generator, but he also took the time to educate me on how to keep up on it going forward.

I first met David from Michigan Mobile when he easily repaired a snowblower which hadn't worked in years. But he became like a hero to our family during this extended (6-day!) power outage, when my gas-powered generator had two separate issues, one of which was fairly complicated. For each issue, he quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. He is prompt, honest, and kind, and REALLY knows machines and engines. I highly recommend him!

David responded immediately to my inquiry and came by my house for my snowblower repair, and in the midst of a major snowstorm no less! David was up front on the cost and his estimation of what was wrong with the snowblower. Once he arrived he got right to work and determined exactly what was wrong and made immediate repairs. On top of the work that needed to be done, David also handled several other issues such as replacing my primer line, primer button, adjusting my skid plates, and adding air to my tires-- all for no additional charge. David also took the time to explain in detail and answer all of my questions regarding regular maintenance and keeping my snowblower going for years to come. David's goal wasn't to make a repeat customer, but to make sure that I never had to call him again! Dave responded to my call in about an hour. He examined my non-functional snowblower and found the trouble right away. He explained why it wouldn't start and how he would fix it. He repaired the o-ring I had crimped and torn with a new one and more importantly, showed me what I had done incorrectly in the first place. He then ran the machine, checked for leaks, adjusted the skids, inflated the tires and cleaned the carb to stop a surge issue. Finally, he printed a detailed invoice with instructions for end of season maintenance and starting tips. I am completely sold on Dave and his service! Call him when you have a problem with any motorized equipment. You will not be disappointed.

David Ross was amazing. Arrived on time and was able to fix the problem in minutes due to his experience. He made the effort to explain and show everything he was doing so I could properly maintain and avoid future service calls. Not only did he fix the problem he did a full work-up on it. He pointed out the impellers were running even when handle was not engaged and promptly fixed by replacing the rubber (broken) part with a metal part to ensure longevity of fix. The generator would not start and he stuck to the job until he found the problem - loose intake valve rocker adjuster. In addition to the regular tune up work, the engine needed repair! The service rendered was far better than I expected on my 8 HP snow thrower. He arrived on time, with a call ahead, asked pertinent questions and explained each step of his detailed check out. I am a skilled tradesman and was amazed about his vast knowledge of mechanical aptitude. He did what was needed, very systematically and resolved the issue. Upon completion, he had me start it and it ran like new! Before leaving, he explained what caused the issue, and how to prevent future occurence. He also provide me with a printout receipt that listed what was done and advice on what to do at the end and and beginning of the season. His price was fair, especially figuring the cost of hauling this to a brick and mortar shop. The repair included a warranty, and I gained do's and don'ts on purchasing a generator too! We had received an used generator that we were not sure if it worked or how to use it. Not knowing where to begin we called Michigan Mobile Equipment. Mr. Ross asked a few questions to learn if it was something he could help us with, and we agreed upon a date. When he got a good look at the generator and its condition (rusted tank, iffy carburetor), he explained he'd need to order replacement tank and carburetor. We scheduled a return after the parts arrived, and in about an hour he had the parts installed, the generator working, and a lesson in how to use it. I called Michigan Mobile first a couple years ago to work on my dads riding mower. My dad was very happy with the fast response and fair pricing. This year I called them to work on our riding mower. I was impressed with how quickly they got back to me, they were able to give me an appt. right away and were actually here when they said they would be. The repair costs were very reasonable and the mower worked and sounded like new.
Something I particularly appreciated was the way he was with my dad. Dave treated him with respect and kindness, didn't make him feel like he was too old to know what he was talking about. Thank you, Dave! I definitely will call Michigan Mobile again if I have a problem with our mowers.

I've hired services from Dave at Michigan Mobile a couple of times now. In both cases he was professional, provided a great deal of insight as to what he was doing and why, and showed me how to take care of our lawn tractor maintenance after his repairs. In this particular case, I had a lawn tractor that had begun blowing smoke. Dave was able to come in the next day and replace the head gasket. He also gave it a tune-up, replaced the spark plug, the coil and lubed and oiled the wheels and changed the oil and filter. Machine runs like a charm now and should be good for another few years. This is a 22-year-old tractor. I would request his services again anytime. It was much, much cheaper than purchasing a brand new tractor.

Glad my neighbor recommended this company and will continue to call them when I have trouble with my 2009 John Deere LA115 riding mower. Saved me time and money. Mower broke down Sunday and Dave fixed it at my home on Tuesday.
He taught me as he fixed the problem and had all the parts he needed in his vehicle. He took the extra step and looked around my mower for anything that might be a problem and reminded me of all the maintenance I should do every year to keep my riding mower healthy and last longer.
The previous place I used had me take the mower to their garage and it would sit there for 2 weeks before they could look at it and then had to wait another week for the parts to be delivered.

David responded promptly to our phone call and came to our home to fix our riding lawn tractor, generator and snow blower. He tuned up the mower and replaced non-working parts, which he had on his truck. He also cleaned the carburetor of our generator and it now starts on the first pull. The snowblower was a recent used purchase that ran rough, but David tuned it up and now it runs perfectly. Best of all, he taught us how to maintain the machines so they will contain to run properly. It truly was a pleasure doing business with David and we highly recommend him for servicing your small machinery.

II bought a 2nd hand generator that was dishonestly sold to me as like new. Needless to say it was in pretty rough shape. The oil was black and gunky and had obviously never been changed. The carburetor was shot and the valves were a mess. Dave not only got it running but it now sounds brand new! He also walked me through all the steps to keep it in tip top condition. I have two snowblowers, one big and one small. The big one is 26" so loading it, finding a friend to help so I don't throw my back out, driving to the nearest shop while taking a chance w/ my $800 dollar machine in the back..is not worth the headache or the chance of damaging it. He doesn't have time to chat when you call on the phone because he's so busy so have your info together, but I trust him, he charges fairly and it's so much easier to have him come to your house rather than hitching up a trailer and transporting your lawnmower to a place that will charge who knows what?!! I have been using Michigan Mobile Repair since 2013! We first met when a glove was stuck in my snow blower! I have an old Monkey Ward lawn tractor (probably should retire the thing) and besides the normal blade sharpening, belt replacements, filters or spark plug issues replacements, I have had a couple of peculiar and/or difficult issues to address. Dave, always, always seems to find an answer...a fix to my issue. I'm always impressed by his work ethic, his knowledge and his empathy to my conundrum! Had a great experience with Michigan Mobile Lawn Equipment. Snowblower would not fire up. Dave was able to come the next day. He diagnosed the issue and walked me through the steps to better maintain the blower at the end of the season. He also was able to replace the oil and fix a part that was banged up. Called on Wednesday about having my mower serviced after it sat for about two years. He offered to come that same day because he was in the area! (I just couldn't because of my schedule needs). He set an appointment for Friday morning, called before he came, and had my lawn mower serviced, checked over and ready for resumed use in less than an hour! I shopped around before calling and not only was his price honest and fair, it cost me less than it would if I had a local shop pick the mower up and drop it back off. I could have saved a few dollars by putting the lawn mower into the back of my car and driving it to a shop, where it would have sat for a few days before I had to pick it up and bring it back but I didn't want to have to continue to be without a lawn mower and more important I didn't want to have to try and lift it into my car alone and/or worry about getting gas and oil in my car. It’s too big and heavy for me to transport to a shop so my coworker suggested this company and I’m so glad he did! Within five minutes they had my snow blower started, they then took the time to stabilize and have it running properly. Dave also fixed one of the blades that had a broken pin that his assistant noticed, that I didn’t even know was broken. I called Michigan Mobile Repair to see if he could come and take a look at my Craftsman lawn tractor to see if there was any hope with getting it up and running. Due to health issues I wasn't able to use it for 4-5 yrs. It had just been sitting in my garage. I knew it would need a new battery so I got one before Dave and Alex arrived. They switched out the battery, filled the tires with air, replaced the carburetor and started it up. No replacing parts that didn't need to be replaced. Dave happened to notice my Generac generator behind the garage and told me he also tunes them up as well. That generator sure got a lot of use over the past 6 months with all the power outages we've had. Rather than wait and contact the company who installed it to do the annual tune up I called Dave back and he came out and handled everything. This is the second time i've used Dave's mobile repair service. My appointment was for 9:30 and Dave and his young assistant arrived at 9:20 and went to work on my Toro snowblower. New plug,paddles,scraper blade and oil change all done within an hour. Dave provides an invaluable service by coming to you. No way in the world could i fit that machine in the trunk of my car, a 2005 Pontiac GTO to transport for service. He explains what's going on and gives out tips as he works. Again, a great invaluable service he provides! I'll be contacting him in the spring for my Troy Bilt lawn mower. If this man retires it'll be a loss. Excellent Service at a Fair Price. Dave and Alex came to my house, got my tractor working and moving in a short amount of time. They did an excellent job and the price was very fair especially for the amount of work that was done.
As Dave was finishing he mentioned that he was a certified Generac generator technician. We started talking and I realized that I had not had any service work done on my generator since it was installed over 6 years ago. I asked him to take a look at it and we discovered that the "yellow" light was on, which meant it needed service. Dave not only serviced the generator, but he also took the time to educate me on how to keep up on it going forward.

I first met David from Michigan Mobile when he easily repaired a snowblower which hadn't worked in years. But he became like a hero to our family during this extended (6-day!) power outage, when my gas-powered generator had two separate issues, one of which was fairly complicated. For each issue, he quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. He is prompt, honest, and kind, and REALLY knows machines and engines. I highly recommend him!

David responded immediately to my inquiry and came by my house for my snowblower repair, and in the midst of a major snowstorm no less! David was up front on the cost and his estimation of what was wrong with the snowblower. Once he arrived he got right to work and determined exactly what was wrong and made immediate repairs. Dave responded to my call in about an hour. He examined my non-functional snowblower and found the trouble right away. He explained why it wouldn't start and how he would fix it. He repaired the o-ring I had crimped and torn with a new one and more importantly, showed me what I had done incorrectly in the first place. He then ran the machine, checked for leaks, adjusted the skids, inflated the tires and cleaned the carb to stop a surge issue. Finally, he printed a detailed invoice with instructions for end of season maintenance and starting tips. I am completely sold on Dave and his service! He pointed out the impellers were running even when handle was not engaged and promptly fixed by replacing the rubber (broken) part with a metal part to ensure longevity of fix. The service rendered was far better than I expected on my 8 HP snow thrower. He arrived on time, with a call ahead, asked pertinent questions and explained each step of his detailed check out. I am a skilled tradesman and was amazed about his vast knowledge of mechanical aptitude. He did what was needed, very systematically and resolved the issue. Upon completion, he had me start it and it ran like new! Before leaving, he explained what caused the issue, and how to prevent future occurence. He also provide me with a printout receipt that listed what was done and advice on what to do at the end and and beginning of the season. His price was fair, especially figuring the cost of hauling this to a brick and mortar shop. The repair included a warranty, and I gained do's and don'ts on purchasing a generator too! We had received an used generator that we were not sure if it worked or how to use it. Not knowing where to begin we called Michigan Mobile Equipment. Mr. Ross asked a few questions to learn if it was something he could help us with, and we agreed upon a date. When he got a good look at the generator and its condition (rusted tank, iffy carburetor), he explained he'd need to order replacement tank and carburetor. We scheduled a return after the parts arrived, and in about an hour he had the parts installed, the generator working, and a lesson in how to use it. I called Michigan Mobile first a couple years ago to work on my dads riding mower. My dad was very happy with the fast response and fair pricing. This year I called them to work on our riding mower. I was impressed with how quickly they got back to me, they were able to give me an appt. right away and were actually here when they said they would be. I've hired services from Dave at Michigan Mobile a couple of times now. In both cases he was professional, provided a great deal of insight as to what he was doing and why, and showed me how to take care of our lawn tractor maintenance after his repairs. In this particular case, I had a lawn tractor that had begun blowing smoke. Dave was able to come in the next day and replace the head gasket. He also gave it a tune-up, replaced the spark plug, the coil and lubed and oiled the wheels and changed the oil and filter. Machine runs like a charm now and should be good for another few years. This is a 22-year-old tractor. I would request his services again anytime. It was much, much cheaper than purchasing a brand new tractor.

He tuned up the mower and replaced non-working parts, which he had on his truck. He also cleaned the carburetor of our generator and it now starts on the first pull. The snowblower was a recent used purchase that ran rough, but David tuned it up and now it runs perfectly. Best of all, he taught us how to maintain the machines so they will contain to run properly. II bought a 2nd hand generator that was dishonestly sold to me as like new. Needless to say it was in pretty rough shape. The oil was black and gunky and had obviously never been changed. I've used Michigan Mobile for about 5 years and have been very happy with Dave. He doesn't have time to chat when you call on the phone because he's so busy so have your info together, but I trust him, he charges fairly and it's so much easier to have him come to your house rather than hitching up a trailer and transporting your lawnmower to a place that will charge who knows what?!! The last time he came out he diagnosed a problem and told me what part to order and because I'm somewhat handy I was able to install it (with his instructions). Wonder how much extra a shop would have charged to install when it was simply a bolt. Interesting guy to chat with as well!!

Dave replaced the cylinder head (aluminum valve adjustment mount had cracked off) on my Craftsman rider (Briggs motor) and it is back to running smooth. He also made a few other adjustments that I would not have known about. He did a great job and I enjoyed learning from him. Price was reasonable and I highly recommend.

David Ross is excellent at his craft. I called him on a Monday morning and a few hours later he arrived to my house and immediately diagnosed my engine issue on my John Deere lawn tractor. He was thorough in explaining my issue and told me that he could source a used but clean engine which saved me nearly $800. He was back later that evening and completed the job the same day! He encouraged me to stay and hang out while he did the job. I learned a bunch from David and I appreciate his hard work to help fix my tractor. In addition, His pricing was fair and made this repair affordable. He completed the job in just over an hour. He also did a few other things that he did not charge me for which I greatly appreciate. If you want a highly skilled professional with years of experience and someone that is a straight shooter than this is the guy to call. I have been using Michigan Mobile Repair since 2013! We first met when a glove was stuck in my snow blower! I have an old Monkey Ward lawn tractor (probably should retire the thing) and besides the normal blade sharpening, belt replacements, filters or spark plug issues replacements, I have had a couple of peculiar and/or difficult issues to address. Dave, always, always seems to find an answer...a fix to my issue. I'm always impressed by his work ethic, his knowledge and his empathy to my conundrum! While he's working, he explains everything that he's doing and why he's doing it. Today was no exception to his great work. After all was done, I drove the tractor and couldn't tell that I was really cutting my grass because the tractor ran so smoothly and quietly. Dave is prompt, courteous and honest. I can't say enough good things about David of Michigan Mobile Lawn Equipment Repair. Not only did he quickly diagnose the problem with my lawnmower and help me figure out which parts to replace, he also spent time teaching me lots of things about maintaining lawn equipment, what tools to buy, and how to properly use them. He even helped get my generator started and taught me how to better winterize both my generator and snow blower. Finally, he made a return trip, free of charge, to help me re-assemble everything on my lawnmower and make sure it was done right. I can't thank David enough for his professional service. Had a great experience with Michigan Mobile Lawn Equipment. Snowblower would not fire up. Dave was able to come the next day. He diagnosed the issue and walked me through the steps to better maintain the blower at the end of the season. He also was able to replace the oil and fix a part that was banged up. It's really nice that he drives out to you for the repair. He had everything in his van that was needed, including a heater which was nice since the repair was outside.

Called yesterday late afternoon, and Dave was super responsive, and came out today (on a Sunday) to help me fix my snowblower... Within a short time, was able to figure out the issues, had the replacement plugs, cleaned it up, and it was working. Called on Wednesday about having my mower serviced after it sat for about two years. He offered to come that same day because he was in the area! (I just couldn't because of my schedule needs). He set an appointment for Friday morning, called before he came, and had my lawn mower serviced, checked over and ready for resumed use in less than an hour! I shopped around before calling and not only was his price honest and fair, it cost me less than it would if I had a local shop pick the mower up and drop it back off. I could have saved a few dollars by putting the lawn mower into the back of my car and driving it to a shop, where it would have sat for a few days before I had to pick it up and bring it back but I didn't want to have to continue to be without a lawn mower and more important I didn't want to have to try and lift it into my car alone and/or worry about getting gas and oil in my car. So that extra few dollars was well spent just on the time savings alone. Will definitely be a repeat customer for my snow blower and any future needs. HIGHLY recommend!! Thank you!!

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC SERVICE! Dave came out just 30 minutes after I gave him a call responding to a gas leak on my lawnmower. He quickly solved my issue and while he was packing up noticed my transmission wasn’t working correctly. He got his tools back out and resolved that issue too...for free! My snowblower wouldn’t start up when I tried after the first snow of the year. After many attempts and a lot of swearing, I googled snow blower repair near me. This was one of the first ones that popped up on Google, and I’m so thankful it did!
Not only did he have my snowblower running soon after he came over, he was also kind enough to give me advice on prepping the snowblower for storage at the end of the season and starting up at the beginning of the season! He replaced a part I needed for better performance, changed the oil, filled the tires, and adjusted a couple other things.
Very personable, friendly, honest, and knowledgeable! Highly recommended!!
